Human Powered Health will be at the start of the Tour de Pologne 2023 with home riders Stanisław Aniołkowski and Alan Banaszek

The American team will race in the 80th edition with the aim of stimulating a discussion among fans about psychophysical wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.

The first wild card for the Tour de Pologne 2023 is going to the Pro Team Human Powered Health, a choice dictated by the impact the team has left on the cycling world with its philosophy centered on the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and the rediscovery of one’s own physical well-being.

From July 29th to August 4th, the team will show its colors on Polish roads, fielding two home-grown athletes, Stanisław Aniołkowski and Alan Banaszek, who are enthusiastic about this new opportunity.

A professional since 2016, 26-year-old Stanisław Aniołkowski – Polish road champion in 2020 – said he was very proud to participate in the Tour de Pologne, racing in front of his home crowd, friends and family.

“This race is very special for me” he commented. “I will do everything I can to be well prepared and in good shape because fighting for a stage victory is my goal, as well as a big dream. I am personally very grateful to Czesław Lang and we are really motivated to give our best as a team.”

The core values on which this team’s entire philosophy is based is the same one that drives riders like the track rider Alan Banaszek who is already distinguished on the road in the junior category due to his win at the European Championship in Tartu in 2015, he now holds two European golds won on the track – points race in Berlin 2017 and Omnium in Grenchen 2021.

“I am very excited about the start of my new team in Poland’s biggest cycling competition,” explained Alan. “It will be a great experience to represent our jersey and the team’s message on this occasion. For me it will be my third time participating in the Tour de Pologne and I can’t wait to be on the starting line once again because, apart from being the most important race in the country, it is a unique opportunity to try and achieve a good result on home roads.”

An opportunity that sees Czesław Lang motivated and confident about the valuable contribution the Human Powered Health boys will bring to the show during this year’s edition.
“Amongst the many reasons why we chose them, is the need for an event like the Tour de Pologne to be a spokesperson for important messages to the community,” he explained. “We have always believed that cycling is a special sport because of the way it spreads values and this is another step towards raising people’s awareness of a more sustainable world, where cycling and physical activity are at the heart of our common well-being. I can’t wait to see the impact this participation will have, we are really looking forward to it.”
