Tour de Pologne signed UCI Climate Action Charter

The Tour de Pologne and Lang Team, together with other races and organizations, have signed on to the UCI’s “Charter for Climate Action.” The initiative introduces a number of principles aimed at preventing climate change. Also Tour de France, Vuelta a España, Amstel Gold Race and many others have signed the charter. The full list is available here.

As a united cycling family, we will take responsibility for engaging with these challenges by reducing our sport’s impact on the environment and promoting the benefits of more cycle use for sustainable development.

Charter consists principles such as:

  1. We will promote active travel and the role of cycling in combinating climate change, improving well-being and building a more sustainable future for all.
  2. We will prioritize low-carbon transportation.
  3. We will ensure that the effects of climate change are taken into account in our future plans.

It’s worth mentioning that as organizers, we have already set our sights on actions to prevent climate change. During the 79th Tour de Pologne, our fleet of Citroen cars was made up of hybrid vehicles.
