STAGE 5 – DZIEŃ DOBRY – Tour de Pologne 2022

Suited for the climbers in the peloton, the fifth stage starts from Łańcut, famous for its beautiful baroque castle with a 170 long route which leads to the modern and dynamically developing Rzeszów. Dynów will be a key point to win the two prime LOTTO Intermediate Sprint Prime and the III category PZU KOM. The finish consists of a 19 kilometers circuit, where there will be the last PZU KOM of the day before the arrival in Rzeszów.

Landmarks

Łańcut Castle 

This fascinating complex of historical buildings is one of Poland’s official national Historic Monuments and was the residence of three important princely families. The palace was built in 1628-1641 by Stanisław Lubomirski, and rebuilt in 1894-1903 in the French Neo-baroque style. It is famous for its magnificent interiors, orangery, and extraordinarily interesting collection of horse-drawn carriages. Here the visitors can dream about the everyday life of the nobility in their manor houses, also strolling in  the old and picturesque English gardens that surround the building. 

Rzeszów

This vibrant city has probably one of the most beautiful town halls of Poland with its pretty unique architecture. The current Neo-gothic and Neo-renaissance look dates to the 19th century when it was common to mix different architecture styles. In the past, the bell on the town hall’s tower announced the beginning and the end of the market days; today the visitors can hear the bugle call composed by the well-known Polish artist born in Rzeszow, Tomasz Stanko. The Market Square is surrounded by townhouses from three sides giving a nice vibe and charm to this place which is worth a visit, especially during the late evening for an aperitif in the numerous typical cafés.
