The official UCI calendar revealed. Check the dates for the Tour de Pologne UCI World Tour and Tour de Pologne Women
Less than two months ago, Slovenian Matej Mohorič (Team Bahrain Victorious) won the 80th edition of the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour and today we can officially confirm the next edition’s date of the Polish race in 2024. In addition to the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, Czesław Lang and his team will also organise the Tour de Pologne Women and the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix.
As usual, the end of September is the time when the UCI publishes the official calendar for the upcoming season. Of course, it could not miss the only Polish UCI WorldTour race, the Tour de Pologne, which celebrated its 95th birthday in 2023. – We have a concept for the Tour de Pologne, we also have a concept for the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix, which will take place not only in Poland, but also in surrounding countries. Next year we are planning to reorganise the Tour de Pologne Women. There will be three stages, which we are currently planning. We don’t forget about youth riders and amateurs, who can participate in Tour de Pologne Junior and ORLEN Lang Team Race. – announced Czesław Lang, general director of the Lang Team.
The 2024 Tour de Pologne will take place immediately after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with the race starting on Monday 12th August and lasting until Sunday 18th August.
The Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour is not the only race organised by Lang Team in the UCI’s calendar. After an eight-year break, the Tour de Pologne Women will return to Polish roads. Riders will begin their struggles on 28 June, and the winner after 3 stages will be announced on 30 June. The race will be part of the UCI Women Calendar in category 2.2.
But that’s not the end yet. After last year’s very successful edition, the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix (belonging to the UCI U23 Nations Cup) will again be held in a 5-stage formula. Riders from the national teams in the U23 category will cross the start line on 15 May and the best U23 rider will be known on 19 May. The 2023 race was won by Slovenian Gal Glivar after 5 stages in Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. In 2024, Lang Team is looking to reproduce this concept and planning to integrate the Czech Republic and Slovakia the parcour of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix.
