Energa, from ORLEN Group, as the official sponsor of the 78th Tour de Pologne UCI World Tour

The biggest recurrent sports event in Poland and the most important cycling race in Central and Eastern Europe will be sponsored by Energa from ORLEN Group for the second time.

“Once again, I am proud to announce that ORLEN Group’s Energa is among our partners.” says Czesław Lang, General Manager of the 78th Tour de Pologne UCI World Tour.

As usual the World Tour teams will attend the Polish race together with several other teams, including the Polish representation that received the invitations from the organizer as a Wild Card. Once at the start line, they all share the same desire: to be leading one of the classifications and, since last year, the team classification is sponsored by Energa from ORLEN Group.

“Energa from the Orlen Group joins the Tour de Pologne for the second time. We are proud that once again we’ll have the opportunity to support the athletes as an official race sponsor and team classification patron. The skills and determination, as well as the endurance of the riders are impressive. “Cycling is an extremely team-oriented sport and it is worth talking about, because not everyone is aware of that. At the finish line, you can see the winner, but it is never the case that the winner could complete the whole race, or even a stage, alone. Roles in each team are pretty clear and the team spirit is a key factor. The team classification is extremely important. I remember, from the time when I was racing, that we always chased it closely, we wanted to be as high as possible in the rank so as to show the strength of our squad” – says Czesław Lang.

The 78th Tour de Pologne UCI World Tour will start this year on August 9th in Lublin and will end on the 15th. The grand finale will take place in Kraków.
