
Born on May 17, 1955 in Kołczygłowy in the Land of Słupsk. Two time Olympics participant. Double WC medallist in team 100-km race. He took part in the Peace Race four times.

- World Vice Champion in the team race at 100 kilometres (in 1979)
- Bronze Medal in the World Championships team race at 100 kilometres (in 1977)

Tour de Pologne and its director, Czesław Lang, have received multiple awards from prestigious bodies:
- TdP received the “Best Sport Event of The Year” title in Poland in 1995, 1996, 2004, and 2008.
- In 1997 director Czesław Lang (Lang Team) received a Champion statuette for the promotion of Polish sport.
- In 1997, Czesław Lang received the title of “Sports Manager of 1997” from the Competition Board of the Polish Corporation of Sports Managers.
